Special educator experiences of supporting echolalic students

This qualitative study interviewed 83 special education teachers in specialist schools about supporting students who use echolalia, repeated speech often seen in autism and other conditions. Teachers reported gaps in knowledge, few classroom strategies, inconsistent speech pathology guidance, limited specialist support, and unclear professional roles. Kleefstra syndrome is briefly mentioned as one condition where echolalia has been reported.
