Precision Nephrology in Practice: National Clinical Implementation Pilot of Genomic Testing for Kidney Diseases and Its Clinical Impact in Singapore

A new Singapore study found that genomic testing can improve diagnosis and care for people with unexplained kidney disease. Among 216 patients, 22% received a genetic diagnosis, leading to management changes in 81% of diagnosed cases. One patient with CKD of unknown cause was diagnosed with Kleefstra syndrome, highlighting the value of genomic testing in identifying rare syndromic conditions.
