This study reviewed 1,560 prenatal SNP array tests and found that pregnancy outcomes varied by the type of chromosomal finding. Delivery rates were higher for microduplications and inherited microdeletions than for trisomies or new microdeletions, showing that whether a genetic change is inherited or new can be important in prenatal counseling.
