A new review explores how EEG and machine learning could advance Kleefstra syndrome research. Current studies show that seizures and abnormal EEG findings are common, but no consistent KS-specific brainwave biomarker has been identified. The authors highlight the need for standardized, shared EEG datasets and quantitative analysis. With larger datasets, AI could help detect hidden patterns, monitor disease progression, predict treatment response and support future clinical trials.
