Multnomah County proclaimed Sept. 17, 2025, as Kleefstra Syndrome Awareness Day to recognize affected individuals, families, and care providers. The proclamation, inspired by the Holmes family and co-sponsored by Commissioner Vince Jones-Dixon, highlighted the need for better services, more awareness, and stronger support for the Kleefstra syndrome community.
