From biological to digital twin: a pipeline for electrical stimulation of human derived neuronal networks

Master’s thesis using Dup15q syndrome as a case study. Patient-derived hiPSC neuronal networks on high-density electrode arrays showed fragmented “Super Bursts”; electrical stimulation shortened persisting bursts and increased intervals. An in silico model mapped which nearby neurons are directly activated or polarized, supporting future digital-twin studies rather than a proven therapy.
