Multi-omics analyses demonstrate a critical role for EHMT1 methyltransferase in transcriptional repression during oogenesis

This mouse study used oocyte-specific Ehmt1/Ehmt2 knockout models and multi-omics analyses to show that EHMT1 helps repress gene activity during egg development. Loss of EHMT1 disrupted egg maturation, altered epigenetic marks, and led to embryonic lethality after fertilization. It studies EHMT1 biology, not a KS treatment.
